Maternity Leave is not a vacation. Having been on two of them, I identified a lot with Tom Hank's character in the epic survival drama film, Cast Away. My children played the part of Wilson, the volleyball. So yes, tropical but DIFFERENT.
And then there is all that lovely physical stuff too.
To celebrate Mothers Day, we convinced 72andSunny to let us make a resort wear line, called MOMMY BAHAMA, using all of the products you use in early motherhood.
The goal was to spotlight what new motherhood actually involves so people will stop saying dumb, hurtful stuff like “Enjoy the vacation!” to soon-to-be moms.
We created five product innovations and shot high fashion style films for each with Kristyna Archer from Archer Studios and released them online with a lookbook and website.
I really loved this project and I really scared a lot of creatives when I explained what all of these products are for.
